Wirecut is a small, independent tech review site. We don't run social media accounts, chase trends, or post sponsored videos. Our work lives entirely on this site, where you can read it, bookmark it, and come back when you're ready to buy.

How we choose

We start with months of long-term use, not unboxings. Every product on this site has been tested for at least three weeks in real conditions — commuting, working, training, or living with it day to day. We compare each pick against at least three direct competitors before recommending it.

How we make money

Every "View on Amazon" button is an affiliate link. If you buy through it, Amazon pays us a small commission and your price stays exactly the same. That's the only way the site makes money — no ads, no sponsorships, no email tracking. See our full disclosure for details.

When we change our minds

Products get worse. Firmware updates ship. Better alternatives appear. When that happens, we update the recommendation — even if it costs us commissions. Trust compounds; the alternative doesn't.
